Matsumoto vs. Shunji
Before I start talking about food I need to say that this is during COVID-19 and I couldn't eat at the restaurants. Matsumoto is on Beverly Blvd in Los Angeles. I thought it was great the first few times I got their food. It was bad the last time I got it. The first time my parents and I got the 7 piece sushi box. In the sushi box there was spicy tuna roll, blue fin tuna, kampachi, trout, halibut, hotate, aji, and katsuo (see my picture). We decided to also try the cooked food box it was OK. In the cooked food box there was beef, chicken, salmon, and some vegetables. We loved the sushi! I was in the car when my dad picked up the food. It looked pretty clean in there. The last time I had their food they put a leaf in one of the pieces of sushi. THE LEAF WAS DISGUSTING!!!!! My mom thought the fish didn't taste as fresh. I was more mad about the leaf. Every time we went to Matsumoto one thing was perfect: the miso soup. I give it a 6/10.

The second restaurant is Shunji. Shunji has one Michelin star. The fourth Michelin star restaurant I have been to. Shunji is perfect. It is a little restaurant on Pico Blvd. Every time I had their food I loved it. When my dad picked it up I also came outside to wait with him. The waitress who brings the food out thought I had my own order. HAHA! The sushi boxes looked super small. I thought they had the order wrong. When I opened it I found out it was the food we ordered!ππ They really stuffed that in there. The sushi was a salmon egg bowl, salmon sushi, blue crab roll, bluefin tuna, bluefin toro, halibut, scallop, yellowtail, stone snapper, and red snapper. It was delicious. They made it look delicious too. 10/10
