Kebabs and Kurries

3rd best restaurant in Bangkok on TripAdvisor! This restaurant is so good that it should be second best restaurant in Bangkok on Tripadvisor!  This restaurant definitely deserves a Michelin Star.

As soon as we walked into the restaurant, my family knew we would like this place!  It was very clean inside and the service was very good. Just FYI-Kebabs and Kurries is a chain restaurant from India.  But a NICE chain--it's in some fancy hotels in India.

The first dish we ordered to come out was the Butt-Or Fish.  I mean buttterfish.  And I do prefer fish to butt.  But back to my review....

The presentation was amazing.  After we ordered, they brought out these yummy sauces and spreads with some "chips".   We munched on this until our food arrived.

The butterfish was served on seashells with a couple of drops of sauce.  The seashells were on a bunch of small colored pebbles which were served in a pot.  Look:

Doesn't that look SO YUMMY?

😛😁

Another dish that we ordered was called Corn Tikki.  I am the opposite of a vegetarian because normally I prefer meat and fish.  But I enjoyed this dish.  It was slightly spicy but that made me like it even more.  My mom likes vegetarian dishes and she said it was so flavorful!  A little sweet mixed with Indian spices to give it a different flavor.

Oops.  I ate most of it before I remembered to take pics.  Sorry.

😮🙀

We also ordered okra.  This was the first time I ever heard the word "okra" or tasted okra.  Today I eat okra all of the time and that is because I liked it so much this first time.  It was cut into small pieces and (my mom) thought it was lightly fried then tossed with a tomato-based sauce.  But hard to tell.  Here's the okra.  OMG.

Next dish was the chicken tikka masala.  Chicken tikka masala is my favorite Indian dish.  I always order it at Indian restaurants near my house in Los Angeles.  This was the BEST chicken tikka masala I ever had.  The sauce was not too thick and it was delicious to eat along with garlic naan.

Oh man, now I want to go back to Bangkok to eat here!  😎

For dessert, we had ice cream.  This ice cream was served with dry ice to make some smoke.  My dad and I loved it but my mom hated it.  She said it was way too sweet.  I am not sure what flavor it was but it was flavored with betel leaves.  Can you see the smoke?

Not one dish I had that night was bad.  This restaurant was the opposite of overpriced.  All of the food was amazing quality and let me assure you it wasn't very expensive.  $55 US for all of this.
